2030 strategy

Over the next decade the world will continue to change, but our pursuit of equality and freedom from violence remains unflinching. By coming together in movements, we have the power to create a feminist future.

Our 2030 strategy supports feminist movements by offering:

  • Flexible funding
  • Spaces for learning and exchange
  • Influencing opportunities

In building our feminist future, we are guided by five strategic goals:

Share power with partners

Our partners have a strong say in our development and we work with them to bring in funding, increasingly in the form of flexible, participatory, long-term grants. By sharing power and creating opportunities to exchange learning, we will all become stronger organisations.

Influence the agenda

Partners’ voices are heard through meaningful participation globally, regionally, nationally and locally. Together, we are part of an influential movement, breaking barriers in how development and advocacy are done. The collective voices of feminist organisations, movements and activists are more powerful and influential in demanding transformative change – in public discourse, the media and in communities.

Resource the revolution

Womankind contributes financially to making change. We work together with partners and allies to advocate for and attract quality funding for women’s rights and feminist action. More and more of our income is unrestricted or flexible, and we partner effectively with women’s funds.

Decolonise our practice

We work together with our partners and allies to attract and advocate for quality funding for women’s rights and global feminist action. Increasingly, our income is unrestricted and channelled directly through flexible funds. We partner collaboratively with other women’s funds that are aligned with our values to maximise funds for partners and resource the feminist revolution.

Value our team

The diverse, international Womankind team lives out our feminist, anti-racist values and is committed to prioritising transparency and accountability. We acknowledge the trauma and stress of oppression and challenge the culture of burnout. Personal health and wellbeing have equal importance alongside effective and dedicated service to the cause.
