These businesses have so much wealth and power that they can operate with impunity, abusing the rights of the people, communities and environments that they operate in. This briefing highlights the importance of a binding treaty on business and human rights – an international accountability framework for transnational corporations. It makes the case as to why this is it important to achieving women’s economic rights, and offers a number of key recommendations.
