This Pride month, we’re standing firmly in solidarity with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex people (LGBTQI) in Uganda following the recent passing of a new anti-LGBTQI+ law. Same-sex relationships were already illegal in Uganda but this law makes Uganda one of the most dangerous places in the world to be LGBTQI+.
Please join us in condemning this oppression, violence, and discrimination against LGBTQI+ people in Uganda. Add your name to show your solidarity this Pride month.
We will share these messages with LGBTQI+ activists in Uganda in the hope they might find encouragement from messages of support from around the world.
