Support Women and Families in Afghanistan Rebuild After the Earthquake

A series of devastating earthquakes have hit Eastern Afghanistan in the last few weeks. The United Nations estimates over 2,200 people have been killed — including hundreds of women and children — and over 5,000 homes were destroyed. But these figures are growing daily. Entire villages have been flattened, leaving families to survive in fields without shelter, food, or clean water.

Women and girls are being hit hardest. Overcrowded, unsafe shelters increase the risk of violence, while maternal healthcare and mental health services have all but disappeared. In the face of deepening poverty, the risks of child marriage and exploitation are rising.

Our trusted women-led partners organisations — the Afghan Women’s Network (AWN) and the Kabul Orthopaedic Organization (KOO) — are already on the ground, reaching those most at risk with vital aid — but they cannot do it without your support.

Please give what you can to help women and girls in crisis.
